Equine Guardian was born from experience — not from an idea on paper, but from a moment that changed everything.
One of our own horses once suffered from severe colic and required emergency surgery. What followed were three long weeks in the hospital, filled with uncertainty, worry, and constant monitoring. Thankfully, she came home and is doing well today — but that experience left a lasting impact.
It made me realize how quickly things can change, and how important it is to truly know your horse — not just when something is wrong, but every day.

When our horse was hospitalized, the veterinarians asked us about her normal heart rate, respiration, and temperature.
We realized how difficult that is to answer without consistent tracking. Every horse is different.
For example, if a horse’s healthy temperature is normally around 37.9°C, that helps you understand it’s normal for that horse — and not automatically the start of a fever.
That experience showed us how valuable it is to know your horse’s baseline before an emergency happens. Being prepared with that knowledge brings clarity, confidence, and calmer decisions when it matters most.
That moment became the reason Equine Guardian exists.
Between my mother, my sisters, and myself, we collectively hold more than ten degrees and certifications in horse care, wellbeing, first aid, training, nutrition, and related fields. Over the years, we’ve gathered a great deal of knowledge — both academically and through daily, hands-on care.
That knowledge made it possible to shape the experience into something structured, thoughtful, and shareable.
It allowed us to turn concern into clarity.
Equine Guardian is built for every horse owner who wants to be just a little more certain.
For those who want to notice when a temperature rises — before it becomes a problem.
When a horse eats a little less — before it’s overlooked.
When you’re on vacation — without needing to constantly ask how things are going.
It’s for people who want overview, consistency, and knowledge behind the care and love they already give.
From the beginning, it was important to me that Equine Guardian would be accessible to everyone:
Good care should never feel exclusive. Having horses is already expensive and hard enough — access to thoughtful, preventive care and knowledge shouldn’t depend on budget.
With seven (and growing) horses of our own, we know what daily care actually looks like.
We also know that long, complicated routines don’t make care better — consistency does.
That’s why the daily health check is designed to take just 5 to 10 minutes, becoming quicker and more intuitive over time.
Equine Guardian is more than just an app.
It’s a response to a moment that mattered — and a way to help others feel more confident, informed, and supported in caring for their horses.
With love and care,
Daisy
